SOUTH COUNTY YOUTH LACROSSE

South County Youth Lacrosse (SCYL) is a 501 (c) 3, Non-Profit Organization serving the communities of South Kingston, Narragansett, Charlestown, Richmond, and Hopkinton. Players from Westerly are welcome but are encouraged to explore their town's program before registering with SCYL. 

SCYL offers opportunities for male and female players in Kindergarten to 8th grade. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, educational and competitive program for boys and girls. Our board, staff, and coaches are all volunteers and parents/guardians of current players. We are all passionate about the game of lacrosse and are trained through US Lacrosse and the Rhode Island Youth Lacrosse League (RIYLL). SCYL also offers financial assistance.

SCYL offers year-round lacrosse opportunities, with winter indoor lacrosse at Wide World of Indoor Sports in North Kingston, RI and the South Kingston Recreation Center. Spring is our main season with practices and tryouts for middle school teams starting in February. Our club competes in the Rhode Island Youth Lacrosse League (RIYLL) with teams traveling to cities and towns across the state and nearby Massachusetts. Summer programming consists of competitive teams that participate in tournaments throughout New England, playing against some of the best youth lacrosse players in the nation.
