According to the SCYL Bylaws, the terms of the current Executive Committee members expire in October, and a new Executive Committee will be elected for a one-year term at the SCYL Annual Meeting in October.
Now is your chance to step up, get involved and contribute your energy and ideas. All are encouraged to run for a position. A vibrant, growing organization depends on a membership mix of "old hands" and "new blood".
The SCYL Executive Committee is comprised of seven (7) members: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three (3) At-Large Members. The duties of each office are set forth in the Bylaws (see Article IV, Section 6) which will be posted on the SCYL website to aid you in your decision to seek a position.
The Executive Committee will be elected in October by the SCYL Board (the SCYL Board is comprised of the current Executive Committee and the Head Coach of each of last season’s SCYL team).
Finally, if you desire to seek an Executive Committee position, you should contact Eugene Bernardo, SCYL Secretary, via e-mail
or by phone, 401-783-1024 to place your name in consideration for a particular office.
All nominations must be submitted to the Secretary by September 15, 2010.
Thereafter, the Annual Meeting will be noticed where the first item of business will be the election of the Executive Committee.
